Casa Favilla is located in Vicopisano, in a characteristic medieval hamlet, at the bottom of the mountains of Pisa and only 20 km from the city of Pisa. Many monuments are still testimonies of the renowned history of the village. The castle and the towers were built in the Middle Ages where commerce started to grow. The beautiful fortress was erected under the guidance of Filippo Brunnelleschi whereas the hamlet was occupied by the Florentines. Every year, at the beginning of September, the medieval traditions are still recalled with costumes, theatre spectacles and music.
If you want to relax we recommend you to visit the wonderful park of Uliveto Terme, where you may enjoy various treatments with natural springs or you may have fun on the sports grounds – swimming pool and tennis court.
The holiday home lies on the ground floor with an independent entrance. The whole garden is at the guests’ disposal. The ground is rich of trees donating shade on hot summer days. The oval swimming pool (half set in earth – 8.10x4.70m, deep: 1.32m)gives the right cooling. The garden is equipped with table, chairs, deck-chairs, sun-umbrella and barbeque. The owners live above – they respect to the full your privacy but if you need assistance they will love to be of help.
